Projects

Here's just a small sampling of the projects we've backed.

‘Keeping My Place’ St John’s Youth Services

Keeping My Place is a program cleverly designed to consolidate the security of housing for individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness, once St John’s Youth Services has successfully assisted them into housing. Without the program, many more clients might fall back into situations of homelessness. We are very proud of the high success rate SJYS is able to achieve, and pleased to be a part of this wonderful story!

St John’s Youth Services (SJYS) works with young people in the Adelaide metro area who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. As well as individuals, SJYS supports young couples, families, single mums or dads, and their small children. SJYS believes in young people and refuses to define them by their temporary experience of homelessness. Instead, the focus is on each young person’s talents and ambitions and their capacity to overcome challenges in their past and take control of their future.

Since St John’s Youth Services was established by the parishioners of St John’s Church in 1981, they have supported more than 15,000 young people experiencing homelessness or crisis. SJYS knows what works, and has a proud record of developing innovative service models to change young lives for the better.

Cobb Highway Ministry, Diocese of the Riverina

We are very pleased to be supporting the ministry of Fr. Neale Sommesby as he works to provide vital Parish Ministry across the famous NSW Outback region known as the Hay Plains. Hay was once the seat of the Bishop. It is fantastic to be involved in providing this ministry and connnection for people across such a vast and remote region. The ministry centres are Oxley, Booligal, Hay, Balranald and Ivanhoe.
